Bridgette,
Tonight you mentioned that my opinion doesn’t matter. Believe me, as a former subscriber and TBBJ event attendee, I fully understand that you only care about the sponsors and the dollars. It’s not a secret.
The disagreement this evening started when your employee asked, “Who would want an award from Dave Glass?” I agree, but I wonder if TBBJ has expressed these thoughts to the 100+ CEO’s locally who have won an award from Tampa Bay CEO. Probably not.
Your employee was offended when I said that I didn’t think the TBBJ awards were much better. I didn’t know she was the TBBJ event coordinator. But that’s my opinion based on my experience with the events.
Better yet, how come as the Tampa Bay Business Journal your staff doesn’t just nominate people? Shouldn’t they know who is doing what in the community? I have never met a reporter for the TBBJ other than Alexis. I have met sales people though.
Of course, my opinion doesn’t matter to you. It’s what you told me many times tonight, but it must or you wouldn’t have expended the effort of telling me.
You poo poo DG, but his events get as many people as yours do. You are mad that he makes them very similar and people can’t tell the difference. One of the women at the table tonight didn’t know whose event the Biz Tech was that she attended. (Don’t worry it wasn’t yours.) The problem is a Branding issue.
You seemed peeved about my comments on the TBBJ Facebook page about your events. At least I tell you what I’m thinking and don’t just talk about you behind your back.
Regards,
Peter
